Elementary

Central Florida Preparatory  School provides elementary grades 1 through 5 with a small student/teacher ratio.  We have a 10:1 student teacher ratio for 1st and 2nd grade and a 12:1 student teacher ratio for 3rd through 5th gradeThis enables the teacher to provide each student individualized instruction and attention.  Each class is taught through traditional style teaching utilizing the State of Florida Sunshine Standards.  In addition to the  academic curriculum, the students are also given weekly instruction in Computers, Spanish, Music, Physical Education and Art.

Each elementary classroom includes a computer system with internet access and a school-wide network.  This allows in-class enrichment, research and supplemental resources for both students and teachers.

CFP has an open door policy for parents to visit, and we especially welcome parent participation in a broad range of academic and enrichment activities.

Our elementary grades participate in many yearly school functions such as Invention Convention, International Day, Family Thanksgiving Feast, Fall Festival, Holiday Celebration and Spring Concert.

Classes are held Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with early release at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.  Before and after care are available.  Before care starts at 7:15 a.m. and after care ends at 6:00 p.m.  There is a $2.50 per hour charge for before and after care.

We also offer after school enrichments ranging from Arts & Crafts to Sports.  Please click here to see the current schedule of enrichments.

ROBIN DELUCA - 2nd grade. rdeluca@cfprep.prg - Hello!  My name is Robin R. DeLuca.  This is my second year here at CFP.  I taught Pre-K for ten years and taught fifth grade last year.  I am a graduate of  SUNY Geneseo, a NY state university up near Rochester, NY, and have been teaching for most of the past twenty-five years.  I have been married since 1982 and have two sons, ages 17 and 21.  I am a voracious reader of nearly anything I can get my hands on, but I most enjoy science fiction and mysteries.  I think that the Harry Potter series is one of the best things to happen to children’s literature in a long time.  I also do a vast amount of needlework, mostly knit and crochet.  As the weather cools off, ask your child about Mrs. DeLuca’s socks!  I am very happy to be here as your child’s second grade teacher.  I know that we will have an exciting, fun and learning filled year together.  I look forward to getting to know both you and your children, and making you all part of my family as well.
